Not a very good picture, but....
Heard from the last of my colleges. Final count? Accepted 5/8, wait-listed 1/8, and got the no on 2/8 (or 1/4, if it bothers you that I didn't simplify).
Funnily enough, the amount that I didn't get into is the same number of stories I've written.
Mom asked me not to long ago if I would trade any one of my novels for a higher ACT score.
Of course not.
Thank you, Betsy, Jarvis, Charles, James, Lhily--for my start.
Thank you, Marian, Robin, Much, for the ride of a lifetime--that isn't over yet.
Thank you, Hywel, for being awesome. And making my dream of Hope amidst Dystopia a reality.
Thank you, God, for my stories. I'll take them over college acceptance letters any day.
What I did most of the afternoon of the 28th: prepared my One Year Adventure Novel video contest entry. Procrastinate? Me? Naw...
Oh and yes, that's my cat, and yes, she does that quite often.
Grace and I went over all of the tree-trunk "bridges" at a historic park because we're cool like that (we didn't get wet!). Fitting that I'd be reading the Robin Hood retelling I purchased in Nottingham Castle.

The "I can't fail twice in three days!!" photo. My siblings were watching The Two Towers. I was still a bit under the weather, so I gave up trying to get it non-blurry fairly quickly.
I like his eyes, though. Haha.

My first opera.
I still don't get opera.
However, I will wait for final judgment until I see something by Mozart or someone similar...
One could say this was kind of doomed from the start.
Unfortunately they didn't sing "haaaaaaaang the wiiiiiitcheeeesssss!"

I had an Anne Shirley moment when I walked into my room. I have no idea if t his is what the Snow Queen looked like, but that's what I think every time I see the flowering tree through the window.
This is my sister's bed, by the way.
Left: "the mechanical butler" dubbed by Grace, created by Dad.
Right: my fearsome warship that came because I wanted to use that pale thing I connected the two big grey things and then studded with weapon-y looking things (yes, if Lego stuff has special names, I know none of them). BE AFRAID.
Inspiration monkey (Edward), my PRECIOUS (otherwise known as flashdrive), OYAN pen, Prayer notebook (upper right), and a page of my "Writing" notebook which is almost exclusively Forest of Lies notes over the years.
Inspiration monkey is a Mrs.S. thing, and thus, three and a half years old. *nod*
Yes, more flowers. These have been blooming all winter, but they've suddenly perked up and look even more gorgeous than usual.
Also: I put the focus on the right-hand side instead of the left-hand side. I noticed I kept doing putting things on the left. So, an experiment!

She's standing on the edge of the bathtub, between the plastic shower curtain and fabric one. She feels very ferocious in this position.
And to make up for the fact that I am again posting pictures of my cat (sorry!) here's another, more amusing, position she feels ferocious in:

I innocently and accidentally started a game with my three-year-old sister when I made one of my old kitties (Amber, the orange and white one to the left) meow at her. We had a romping good time, though I don't want to know how long I spent entertaining her...
Don't forget to notice Calico, the black-white-and-brown kitty that was one of my first characters.
I'm working on gathering all the materials I need for my new ginormous cross-stitch project, so I found myself empty-handed when it came to a Hobbit reading. I grabbed an old horse coloring book I hadn't relinquished and my old colored pencils.
Though I've done shading and layering in some classes, I just wanted dark green. So that's what I did.
