Day 91: Dead Duck

It's a bit of an inside joke. :P

Nairam

P.S. AND NOW I AM CAUGHT UP IN POSTING. Technology willing, I will stay so.

Day 90: Bold Outlaw

(March 30th.)

I got a new Robin Hood hat.

As such, I had to pose it with all of my Robin Hood goodies.

Day 89: Precious

(March 29th.)

Not a very good picture, but....

Heard from the last of my colleges. Final count? Accepted 5/8, wait-listed 1/8, and got the no on 2/8 (or 1/4, if it bothers you that I didn't simplify).

Funnily enough, the amount that I didn't get into is the same number of stories I've written.

Mom asked me not to long ago if I would trade any one of my novels for a higher ACT score.

Of course not.

Who would?

Thank you, Betsy, Jarvis, Charles, James, Lhily--for my start.

Thank you, Marian, Robin, Much, for the ride of a lifetime--that isn't over yet.

Thank you, Hywel, for being awesome. And making my dream of Hope amidst Dystopia a reality.

Thank you, God, for my stories. I'll take them over college acceptance letters any day.

Day 88: OYAN Video Contest

(March 28th.)

What I did most of the afternoon of the 28th: prepared my One Year Adventure Novel video contest entry. Procrastinate? Me? Naw...

Oh and yes, that's my cat, and yes, she does that quite often.

Day 87: Playin' Outlaws

(March 27th.)

Grace and I went over all of the tree-trunk "bridges" at a historic park because we're cool like that (we didn't get wet!). Fitting that I'd be reading the Robin Hood retelling I purchased in Nottingham Castle.

Day 86: Stratego

(March 26th.)

Cousins came over for a few days! Cousin and sisters. Entranced, obviously.

Day 81: Chipotle in New York

(March 21st.)

Yep.

Day 80: Empire State Building

(March 20th.)

Yep, that's the one.

Mapping out how to get from there to the apartment I stayed in on my trip to The King's College.

Day 79: Aragorn & Brego

(March 19th.)

The "I can't fail twice in three days!!" photo. My siblings were watching The Two Towers. I was still a bit under the weather, so I gave up trying to get it non-blurry fairly quickly.

I like his eyes, though. Haha.

Day 78: Hugo Cabret

(March 18th.)

The "I can't have two fails in a row!!" picture.

By the way, read the book. It was interesting and actually quite a bit like the movie...

The other book is Dinotopia, an old favorite. :D

Day 77: Fail #4

(March 17th.)

Nai gets sick and don't give a FLIP about missing a day. Think Ten regeneration (thus the picture). Ish. I went to bed and basically did not get up for about 26 hours.

That is my excuse.

Deal.

Day 76: Tree Blossoms

(March 16th.)

Yes, more flowers...

Day 75: Push To...

(March 15th.)

Need more be said?

Day 74: The Crucible

(March 14th.)

My first opera.

I still don't get opera.

However, I will wait for final judgment until I see something by Mozart or someone similar...

One could say this was kind of doomed from the start.

Unfortunately they didn't sing "haaaaaaaang the wiiiiiitcheeeesssss!"

~Nairam

Day 73: Ladybug

(March 13th.)

On a walk 'round Weathertop with a friend who visited from Kansas. :) Lots of ladybugs lounging on the rocks there!

Day 72: Snow Queen

(March 12th.)

I had an Anne Shirley moment when I walked into my room. I have no idea if t his is what the Snow Queen looked like, but that's what I think every time I see the flowering tree through the window.

This is my sister's bed, by the way.

Day 71: Calendar

(March 11th.)

Fun week coming up!

Day 70: Hangin' Out

(March 10th.)

Awesome early cyber birthday party for someone I like with other people I like. ^_^

~Nairam

Day 69: LEGO

(March 9th.)

Left: "the mechanical butler" dubbed by Grace, created by Dad.

Right: my fearsome warship that came because I wanted to use that pale thing I connected the two big grey things and then studded with weapon-y looking things (yes, if Lego stuff has special names, I know none of them). BE AFRAID.

Day 68: Inspiration Monkey

(March 8th.)

Inspiration monkey (Edward), my PRECIOUS (otherwise known as flashdrive), OYAN pen, Prayer notebook (upper right), and a page of my "Writing" notebook which is almost exclusively Forest of Lies notes over the years.

Inspiration monkey is a Mrs.S. thing, and thus, three and a half years old. *nod*

Day 67: Blue

(March 7th.)

Yes, more flowers. These have been blooming all winter, but they've suddenly perked up and look even more gorgeous than usual.

Also: I put the focus on the right-hand side instead of the left-hand side. I noticed I kept doing putting things on the left. So, an experiment!

Day 66: Big Flowers

I like flowers.

Especially when GINORMOUS blooms are on TREES. Kansas girl in the South? Apparently. THESE THINGS COULD BE IN THE GROUND. :O

Day 65: Mr. Saxon Tells a Joke

(March 5th.)

Apparently, John Saxon hasn't met very many authors. Or maybe it's a mathematician's evil joke...

Day 64: 11 o'clock Panther

(March 4th.)

She's standing on the edge of the bathtub, between the plastic shower curtain and fabric one. She feels very ferocious in this position.

And to make up for the fact that I am again posting pictures of my cat (sorry!) here's another, more amusing, position she feels ferocious in:

"From here I will hunt and kill my prey--the camera string!! MUWAHAHA!"

Day 63: Hugo

I SAW HUGO. FINALLY.

'nuff said.

Day 62: Old Friends

(March 2nd.)

I innocently and accidentally started a game with my three-year-old sister when I made one of my old kitties (Amber,  the orange and white one to the left) meow at her. We had a romping good time, though I don't want to know how long I spent entertaining her...

Don't forget to notice Calico, the black-white-and-brown kitty that was one of my first characters.

Day 61: Coloring

(March 1st.)

I'm working on gathering all the materials I need for my new ginormous cross-stitch project, so I found myself empty-handed when it came to a Hobbit reading. I grabbed an old horse coloring book I hadn't relinquished and my old colored pencils.

Though I've done shading and layering in some classes, I just wanted dark green. So that's what I did.
