Day 151: Cleaning the Kitchen...

...made better by music from Thor. And siblings to help, of course. Also listening to Thor. This was a fun night.

Day 150: Magnolia

I never got a picture I really liked of these overwhelming Southern trees with their huge blossoms. But here, have one anyway.

Day 149: Casablanca

Saw this movie for the first time. Very interesting. I don't think I get it. Oh well, I do better with second viewings anyway....

Day 148: Mismatched

That'd be Baby #7 in the pink there. From our church picnic. There were many mismatched people in this race, it was rather funny...

Day 147: Flower Cake

I accidentally deleted the picture I had for this day, so instead I've added another picture for Baby #6's b-day.

This is the aforementioned flower cake.

Day 146: Homeschool Convention

Well now, don't they look like homeschool convention attendees...

Day 145: Zoobs

You know you're an older sister of 7 when you come into your study room at 6:30 in the morning to discover a pile of zoob creations by your desk.

And you also know that they are called "bambis" by the creators.

Day 144: Birthday for Baby #6

One of many birthdays that happens in our 6-month long birthday season.

This is my sister's fingers as she works on the fondant for a vegetable garden cake (there was also a flower garden cake).

I really like how this came out.

Day 143: Beulah

This one is for my critique group from the 2011 OYAN Summer Workshops.

It's only the Beulah part.

Thought I should say.

It's also on my laptop of ancientness that is on my desk, in case you were curious.

Day 142: Memories

This is a pitcher my mom got at the hospital where I was born. It recently cracked and had to bid our kitchen farewell.

But I took a picture of it for nostalgia's sake (mostly my mom's. Because of course I don't remember this detail).

It turned out to be the only picture I took this day.

Day 136: Peanut Delight!!

This just cracks me up. Talk about personification. I'm sure the birds fly in and say:

"OH! This is hot pepper DELIGHT, for sure!"

Day 133: I'm Crazy, Pt. 4

I'm taking pictures of progress made every day on this to make a kind of time-lapse video or something when I'm done.

You can start to see the horse here, if you're clever.

Day 132: Creeper Cat

She sits up high and watches me down below...

(Yes, that's a solar system on the wall. We're homeschoolers.)

Day 130: Yonanas

Yes, this is the only picture I have for this day.

I wouldn't have even had it if my dad hadn't asked for a picture of it. (He worked on those 2D codes basically before they existed in the real world.)

It's lame. I apologize.

(I seem to have gone from posting pictures of The Doctor to posting lame ones. I guess I'm less perfectionstic now...)

Day 129: I Voted

First time to practice the right and freedom that so many fought and died for.

Don't waste it.

Day 127: Butterflies and Flowers

My silly sisters.

Day 126: Forest of Lies

(May 5th.)

Author finds pictures of leads in her novel...author prints pictures...author uses extra photo frame for pictures.

And takes another picture.

Day 125: Forest Law

(May 4th.)

"In revenge for irrational wild animals, which ought by natural law to be available to all in common, he [Henry II] had either punished by death or cruelly mutilated in their limbs human beings, who employ reason, are saved by the same blood of Christ and share the same nature in equality."

(Quoted in England Under the Norman and Angevin Kings.)

The forest law of England was truly horrific, not just the stuff of Robin Hood legend.

Day 124: Beethoven's Ninth

(May 3rd.)

'twas cool. And German. Ya know.

Nairam

Day 123: The Doctor...Sort Of

(May 2nd.)

The Doctor has been shrunkified and is haunting a windowsill.

Day 122: Repetitive

(May 1st.)

Robin Hood loot.

If you look closely, you can see my battered C. S. Lewis below, along with Runt the Hunted. Above, you just might see Donna Noble...
